Dr. Dafiaghor further appealed to the American people and government to assist the Nigerian people with stopping Boko Haram and bringing back the kidnapped Chibok girls who are still in the captivity of the terrorists. She pressed further that the whole world needed to be United against Boko Haram so that the senseless killing and abduction of innocent children, citizens and neighbors could stop “We are aware that the international community is assisting with this effort, but we want them to do more by providing more resources in the form of surveillance equipment, intelligence sharing, technical and tactical support to the Nigeria troops, and helping us implement community policing programs”. she concluded. In his response, Chief Gabe Okoye, the chairman of NIDO in the Americas said: ““These rallies across the Americas are a statement from Nigerians, and the citizens of the world who stand beside them, that we will not forget the atrocious acts being perpetrated against Nigerian children. Through these rallies, we will show Boko Haram that we, and the international community, will not stand quietly by while women and children are abducted from their homes. We are telling them to bring back our girls.”
