Uh-oh... This mama has a bit of an embarrassing problem she needs help with! Anonymous says, Ive been going to my antenatal coffee group about four times. None of us know each other well and there are only six of us, so I dont yet have a special connection with anyone I feel I could confide in... Heres my embarrassing problem. One of the mums has named her baby Rowan and I genuinely cant remember if the baby is a boy or a girl! The baby wears neutral colours like white and cream so there arent any visual cues. The mum never says he or she and always refers to the baby as either its name or just my baby. The mum is also very shy and doesnt say much. I feel like such a fool and I cant think of a way to say, Hey, is your baby a boy or girl? without sounding totally silly or possibly offending her. Does anyone have some suggestions on how I could gracefully handle this situation? Oh, dear! Anyone have a compassionate suggestion for Anonymous?
