Unconventional Interpretation and Insightful Perception 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart Do I see the way He sees? Do I maintain the wisdom of perspective in the storm? Frequently…we fundamentally misunderstand the true meaning of advantages and disadvantages. Apparent advantages in one circumstance are frequently disadvantages in others….and….seeming disadvantages may actually be unconventional advantages when seen in the proper perspective Take David…..he was the misfit / under-dog facing Goliath….or was he? Goliath was taller, stronger, a battle experienced warrior, with better arms etc….on the surface….he had every advantage. However….change your perspective….and Goliath becomes the under-dog. David’s smaller size and lack of bulky armor gave him the advantages of agility and mobility. The fact that he was armed with a sling and stone, rather than shield and sword for conventional battle, gave him the advantage of the element of surprise. Goliath wasn’t prepared to fight this. Just as a single sick person can start an epidemic of the flu……so too can a small but precisely targeted change in perspective shift your momentum What is it that you are frustrated with Him for not changing? Could it be that the Lord is not changing whatever “it” is because what you see as a disadvantage…..placed in the proper perspective….is actually an unconventional advantage.
