Union Minister Sri Venkaiah Naidu garu met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Railway Minister Sri DV Sadananda Gowda to discuss developmental works in Andhra Pradesh. The following are some important updates. 1. Sri Venkaiah Naidu garu suggested the Home Minister to quickly expedite the implementation of various assurances given in AP State Reorganization Act. Home Minister directed the Home Secretary to convene regular meetings with concerned departments in this regard. 2. Sri Venkaiah Naidu garu held detailed discussions with the Railway Minister Sri DV Sadananda Gowda on the status of various projects in 2 Telugu states. Regarding new Railway Zone in AP, the Railway Minister said he is waiting for the Committee report which will be submitted this month end and will be considered for further action. 3. Sri Venkaiah Naidu garu also asked the Railway Minister to ensure AP Express train starts from Visakhapatnam. In addition to this, the Railway Ministry assured that additional funds will be provided for repairing the railway facilities and employees quarters in the recent Hudhud cyclone.
