Universalists will try to convince you that everyone is going to heaven regardless of whether they receive Jesus or not by saying that there is no Hell any more, and that it was just a temporary place of torment for the lost until Jesus came because when Jesus referred to the time people will spend in Hell, He used the Greek word AION, which means A Period of Time, to describe the period of time that people will be in Hell... Part of that is true... Jesus DID say that Hell is a temporary place for the lost... but what Universalists DONT tell you is that AFTER Jesus comes back and reigns for 1,000 years on earth, everyone who is now in Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire for ETERNITY... The Lake of Fire and Hell are two separate places. Jesus used the Greek word AIONIOS to describe the period of time in the Lake of Fire... AIONIOS means an Unending Time, Everlasting, Eternal & Forever, and AIONIOS is the same word Jesus used to describe ETERNAL Life in Heaven; so if the Lake of Fire is not forever, then heaven is not either because the both use the same word for ETERNITY.... So we see that Hell is real, but just a temporary place that the unsaved go until they are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is FOREVER.... So dont be fooled! ...Selah.
