Unknown Gunmen Whenever there is a serious national discourse unknown gunmen go on killing spree. This time in Kaduna South and Kano city. In Kano, the police claimed to have killed two of the assailants. So let us start from there. Why is it their identity is a secret at a time when the publics cooperation is highly needed to stamp out terrorist from our mist? What happened to those already caught in action? We seriously recommend the police should take over the interrogation of these suspects and brought before the court of justice. This is not a military job nor the DSS. Moreover there is still clouds of doubt about these two security outfits that has now dragged Nigeria into the nations of gross human rights abuses. Our fight with whoever is behind the mask of Boko Haram is a moral one. We detest the fanatical group because of its abuse of humanity. We should then not tolerate it from people using our mandate to impunity. Apo killings and the alleged Prison escape by detainees leading to the killings of many in SSS Hq is still vivid in memory. As for the military it is internationally acknowledged now. It appears that our military is in a cul-de-sac. The USA has previously refused to work or cooperate with our military for what they say of infiltration. Now its because of human abuse. At this junction we need a set of new clean hands at the helms of our affairs if we want to win. Postponing elections because the nation is at war is a silly excuse. The nation is in this state because of the incapacity of the government and the assembly. So allow Nigerians to decide which way they want. Mutual annihilation with the status quo or mutual cooperation with a new set of leadership. May Allah protect all, cure the injured and give solace to families from the lost lives. Amin
