Up for a discussion? This is an older article but so relevant, especially in educational settings. What do you think? What we have discovered is that while an interpreter as a conduit has its usefulness, in many situations the results are negative. In education, they have often been disastrous. The silver lining is that some of our problems in the educational system are self-imposed and thus within our reach to rectify.
