Update: April 2, 2014 Greenwood, SC A little known Fact: ... At the age of 9 years old I was Shot!! Mass Shootings like Ft. Hood brings back my memories of being shot. ...I was splattered with buckshot in my legs. Stomach. Left hand. My left hand flew up to receive a pellet in the center of my hand & one in my finger. These would have gone into my chest if my hand had not flown up!! Deadly. ... It was at dust dark as I was walking or running home after playing at a friends house. Being frightened...first shot stopped me in my tracks to receive buckshot in my tummy. If I had taken one more step that tummy shot would have gone to my heart. Deadly. ... It was not my time to die. I was saved... To be a daughter. A sister. An aunt. A cousin. A wife. A Mother. A friend. Your Friend. ... Yes life can end in a split second with gunfire as it happened at Ft Hood. We do not know why some survived after being shot while others died. ... God spared me for reasons unknown, & I continue to say... How Great God is by blessing me. ... Prayers for Ft Hood & all family members. RIP fallen soldiers.
