Update Day 154: Mom had her dentist appt this morning in Norfolk - and she is hit and miss on her memory. Remembered that the gal who cleaned her teeth was friends with a girl I know here in Columbus - but at the same time told her that last year we were in Oregon. After her appt we stopped and got breakfast and saw Sherri Lewis - after we left mom said I just love her so much, she is always so happy and has the prettiest smile. So perfect that we got to see you, Sherri! This afternoon she became more and more agitated - yelling at me about Al-Anon and how they need to raise $300,000 - and told me how mad she was at me when I told her she no longer had to worry about anything as someone else was taking care of the book work stuff. She went to therapy and calmed down - then shortly after I got home I find out she is trying to leave - then calls me at supper time telling me its totally unacceptable for me to not be there and I bet the girls got a kick out of her yelling at me :) then about an hour later she calls and tells me what she had for supper and how she helped some old people pack up their leftovers to take to their rooms. Then while we were having supper she started texting me - but just random letters. When I called her and told her I couldnt understand she told me what she texted and didnt understand why I couldnt read it. Surdells office called - still no growth in her cultures - they want to see us back in two weeks and then will decide if they will increase the flow of her shunt. Tonight mom told me that her nurse said they discontinued her anxiety meds and she wants them back - I told her lets just see how the weekend goes and we can go from there - the on call dr here feels it could be the cause of her hallucinations - so trying hard to not call back and get it started again. A huge thank you to Lana Reed today for being there for me - like you always are - I am not sure I could have made it through this week without you! Mom also told everyone today that Lana is the reason she came to GLC in Columbus :) thought that was pretty cute :)
