Update: Good morning! Had discussions with the Cardiologist this morning and he stated that there is extensive damage from his 2009 heart attack, and more from this one (not new news). Basically gpa’s heart is pretty fragile. Ok, here is what we know today. (1) At 11am they will be doing the angiogram procedure. (2) His INR levels are exactly where they want it and his kidney function is the best it has been since 2009 today! They are currently weighing the risk of doing the procedure via groin or wrist. (3) There were two options for the procedure, gpa chose the “Aggressive Attack” basically he wants them go in, go big, so he can go home. This renders the other option a moot point. (4) They will be going in to see what they can open up (looking at the posterior side of his heart). When I asked gpa this morning if he wanted people to know anything, he said that pretty quick people are going to need to start taking numbers to be let in his room he has so much love and visitors! I will update again when he is out of the procedure and we have been briefed on how it went. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers, keep em coming!
