Update: I and a lot of the public have noticed that the town is getting as bad again with our paths littered with dog shit, those dog owners that do not pick up after their dog/s are giving us that do pick up a very bad name, and i am sick being labelled the same as them, this is down to those that have the power to issue dog fouling fines not doing their job as per usual, but who in the town really gives a shit, nobody that i could name, its 8 months now since i started our campaign and to date No Fines - No Court Cases, dont tell me that those with the power do not see some dog owners not picking up after their dog/s, i and a lot of the public see this everyday and i do ask them to clean up, but it is up to those dog owners to fecking clean up their dog shit, its their dog their responsibility. Dog Fouling is classed as Litter so it seems to me and a lot of other people that it is ok to leave your dog shit on our paths and walk away, if those with the power would get out of their vans /cars and walk around the town they would see whats going on but no this is to much like hard work, until a fine is issued our town will get worse, it was getting clean for a few months but now laziness is setting in again. The DBC or Dog-Litter-Community Warden or Gardai dont be seen to be doing anything even though the latter have the powers to issue Dog Fouling Fines again they dont bother, in other towns they take dog fouling seriously but not Drogheda, even though its the Law, again who cares. I rest my case...... Julie.
