Update: This has been a roller coaster ride. Last Monday my surgeon pulled the two drainage tubes out of my chest. Hurray!!! But my temp was up over 99.9-100.2 Doctor gave me my second round of antibiotics. Then I went home feeling like I was making progress. But as the week has progressed I had increased swelling from water retention in chest and right upper arm on the right side. Today I returned to my surgeons office. I have the beginning of an infection. Doctor feels the excess fluid is causing troubles with infection. Therefore doctor put two chest drainage tubes back in. So this evening I hurt and hope this fluid drains out. I see my cancer doctor tomorrow afternoon. But I had hope I would be starting my chemotherapy again and start moving forward soon. This is turning into an unhappy week. But I have hope things will get better soon.
