Update Today is day 8 of Camdens hospital admission for the flu. We actually ended up being discharged today. Camdens numbers are not better but he no longer has a fever so after his oncologist spoke with us yesterday we pretty much figured this would be the outcome. Camden was able to stay accessed until today he would have to be reaccessed since the needle was in for too many days. The plan was if he didnt drop any further than he already was he should go home because he would be safer. This morning we found out his numbers are still the same as yesterday and although he is still neutropenic and has very low hemoglobin the risk of putting a new needle in and getting a possible bacterial infection is much worse than going home and staying in hibernation until hopefully counts recover. We do have to be on pins and needles still though because if he gets a fever or looks any paler or is extremely fatigued we need to go back again. We are praying that this does not happen and he begins to be ok. Camden was excited to finally get to open his presents that were here at home. He went as fast as he could to get to the presents. After the first one he needed to sit down because he was too tired but he made it through without taking a break :) We are trying our best to get everything as clean, washed and disinfected as possible to give him optimal recovery conditions. Thank you all for your prayers but please keep them coming Camden still is very susceptible to any illness so we really appreciate the extra prayers! Camden was so happy to be home and have Christmas again today we were just thankful he is ok and we are all still able to be together :)
