Update: Well the VPS is 2/3 the way I want it... Last step will be done today.. I ended up having to install privoxy with Tor (which I am tunneling through right now with OpenVPN ) The last step is to Squid the whole mess and reduce bandwidth consumption by using the well known Industry Standard cache. At the moment.. My IP address is constantly changing when I surf. (Thanks to Tor) One minute I am in France.. The next it is the Netherlands.. Because this has all been setup on a VPS in the USA that has decent bandwidth.. Tor doesnt seem to be much slower than surfing direct.. and thats not bad when you consider that the OpenVPN tunnel is providing an advanced layer of encryption. (which has to slow things down a tad) All in all.. I am very happy with the results so far. #dataretention? Is only for the information poor..
