Update from KBRP Radio: Bisbee Citizens and KBRP - TopicsExpress

Update from KBRP Radio: Bisbee Citizens and KBRP Supporters: Currently in Bisbee, the rain has slowed down to a slight sprinkle, but KBRP is still keeping in touch with the National Weather Service to keep you informed about further weather issues. This evening at 7:17 PM, the National Weather Service issued a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for Cochise County to include the Dragoon, Mule, and Huachuca Mountains including the cities of Benson, Bisbee and Sierra, vista. This FLASH FLOOD WATCH continues through Thursday afternoon, as showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across Cochise County. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH means that conditions are becoming favorable for widespread flash flooding to develop. We will keep you updated if this WATCH turns into a WARNING, as FLASH FLOODING is then likely to already be taking place. The National Weather Service reminders people to be especially cautious at night as it is harder to recognize when flooding is beginning to occur. PLEASE DO NOT travel through areas that have flooding or washes that are running as it is difficult to judge the speed or depth of the current. The City of Bisbee and Cochise County has advised citizens to stay home, if possible and avoid travel during this time. KBRP has been in contact with the City of Bisbee and the Cochise County Sheriffs office about any additional updates.
