Update from Oncologist (Dr. Kahn) visit today. It went well we talked to him a little over 2 hours. Nothing new to report really. He just confirmed what Dr. Scott the surgeon had told me on the phone a week or so ago. The multiple places on the liver is a pretty big issue. If it were say 4-5 spots he said he would do surgery and remove but that is not the case. Going to do 12 rounds of chemo. Every other Monday and after 6 treatments they will do a CT scan to evaluate. We are very comfortable with Dr. Kahn he is a family friend of the Kings and very concerned about his patients. We did talk to him about getting a second opinion at Mayo Clinic in Florida or Anderson in Houston, TX. He said said he would be glad for me to and would get all the tapes and paperwork ready for me if I decide to. Out of 18 lymph nodes it was in 9. The one spot on the lung has not and will not be biopsied, as the treatment plan would be the same regardless. First treatment will be first of August. My family and friends I ask of you at this time to do as the Lord ask us to do to PRAY SPECIFICALLY. Pray that my body accepts the chemo and works a miracle on my liver. I feel the love and the prayers of each of you, that made my visit easier today and makes it easier to face each day knowing I have all these prayer warriors that loves me :) Love you with all my heart, just like Jesus loves each of us!
