Update on Michael Boe: We finally got his prescription filled last night! Partially at least. After he began vomiting yesterday and couldnt stand up long enough to eat breakfast with the boys, the infectious diseases specialist pushed for his meds to be available right away. Our pharmacy didnt carry it, which I learned after trying to pick it up at 830p, so I had to drive a town over to get a partial fill, which is all they had. The rest will be in Sunday at our local pharmacy. He is down 11 pounds since Saturday! (The next fad diet, histoplasmosis) Today he has decided to live with the pain and not take pain meds, which make him very sleepy. Hopefully he will work up an appetite. His daily pill intake is 12 pills without the pain meds. It could be up to 20 with pain meds. Every day he is making strides to get better and with the antibiotics now in his system, we expect improvement!
