Update on the Proposed Telecommunications Facility at 198 Halkett Road, West Melton from Vodafone: Hello, As you are aware Vodafone lodged a resource consent application some time ago to establish a telecommunications facility on the property at 198 Halkett Road, West Melton. You may also be aware that a resource consent hearing was initially scheduled for Wednesday, 28 November 2012. I am writing to let you know that we have decided to delay the hearing. The reason for the postponement relates to several matters arising from the Officer Report that require thorough consideration and agreement by Vodafone, Telecom and 2Degrees, as well as the landowner. We hope to have these matters concluded shortly so the hearing can proceed early in the New Year. Vodafone remains committed to this project and we will endeavour to keep matters progressing as quickly as possible so that mobile and Rural Broadband Initiative services can be established to the community.
