Upon arrival at the New River training facility, the sun had risen, the heat was making it difficult to inhale the fumes of Edmonton, but the heart was now in attendance. This would be the training session of the Black Red n Green Machine of the London Skolars Minis. Having use of the entire complex, and awaiting the arrival of our leader from afar, the fearless three now known as the awesome foursome would begin prepping the future. As the initial exchanges of touch took hold and the searing heat would begin to penetrate the ten layers of SF50 the session took off. End to end tries for the purist, hands for the skills viewer and some great “d” also to be had. It wouldn’t end there though, time for the BAGS!! Six hits of pure muscle from these, the future, exploding into the bags, down in a flash, backpedalling in an explosion of speed and off again. Never giving an inch, never flinching under the warmth of the Mid-morning sun. This was the heart and passion session!! With some great hands, and a final game of touch to round the session off all of the children’s skills from the morning came through for all parents to see. A fantastic example of team work and patience. The bonds of brothers being built on solid foundations here in N22 the future of RL in London.
