Utter lies spread by opposition-siding columnists ! While its true that all town councils run deficits, it is not true that PAP-run wards automatically get more subsidies. Subsidies are given fairly according to the proportion of flats for each room type (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 room etc) and naturally those estates with more 1-3 room flats would get more subsidies as those estates would have residents who are less well off and more likely to have financial difficulties.
