VA !@#$% rant for the day: So, I had my first ever VA med appt this morn. Took a while, initial appt and all, history, etc. I actually knew this PA prior and we started discussing meds. Seems the VA will ONLY write prescriptions that the VA fills themselves via mail order. So, no script you can take to Wally and use your TRYTOCARE (TRICARE), no script you can turn into to a military pharmacy to get filled for free (again, TRICARE covered). Also, if they write a script for something not covered by your service-connected disabilities, YOU will have to pay a pharmacy co-pay (but yet you cant get a script to take somewhere else to use TRICARE). WTF? Anyone have some better info concerning this?
