VACANCY AT UKZN TECHNICAL MANAGER (Grade 7) Energy Management Programme (6 Month’s Fixed Term Appointment) CAMPUS MANAGEMENT SERVICES HOWARD COLLEGE CAMPUS Reference number: EMP/TM913 A specialist knowledge of electrical metering systems, Schneider metering systems and software such as ION Enterprise, Vista, Manager, metering systems and connections (Current / Voltage Transformer) setup and data logging and meter programming and firmware updating. Must have experience in and be able to manage contactors for metering installations and tenant billing. No training will be provided and candidates will / are be expected to fully competent, conversant and knowledgeable in all these areas to be considered for appointed. Must also be familiar with the use of Excel, Word and Visio. Must have a command of and ability to communicate in isiZulu. Minimum requirements: • Matric with T3 as Electrical Technician; • Code 8 Drivers Licence; • Minimum 10 years experience as an Electrical Technician; • 10 years’ experience in managing contractors; • 3 years’ experience in metering installations; • 3years’ experience in electrical metering systems, Schneider metering systems and software such as ION Enterprise, metering connections (Current and Voltage Transformers) and setup of data logging, meter programming and firmware updating; • A working knowledge of tenant billing; • Must be proficient in Ms Excel, MS Word, and Ms Visio. Advantages: •A working knowledge of each UKZN campus and high tension (HT) utility reticulation, and UKZN internal fault logging processes and HT switching will be an added advantage. • Ability to communicate in isiZulu.
