VDP family.......please keep Sherman family in your prayers as Clara undergoes a long process of recovery from her operation yesterday. She was admitted straight to the ICU Tuesday evening after an appointment with the pediatric neurologist when the discovered a large tumor deep inside the left side of her brain. With further MRIs they discovered that the motor pathways controlling the right side of her body run directly through the middle of the tumor, leaving them unable to surgically remove it without leaving her hemiplegic. her surgery yesterday was to retrieve tissue samples for further tested to verify that the tumor is not cancerous!! She will most likely go through chemo and radiation treatments for the tumor itself, please keep your fingers crossed that all tests come back cancer free!!! Take the time to visit her Caring Bridge, as messages for her and her family will let them know that we are all keeping them in our thoughts during this difficult time.
