VERY COLD WEATHER COMING BEGINNING SATURDAY 12/27 AND LASTING INTO THE NEW YEAR Judging from the upper air pattern being depicted here on the GFS model get set for very cold weather to arrive beginning on Saturday December 26th and lasting at least into the first week of January. The flow showing comes straight from Northwest Canada so we should see some pretty impressive shots of cold air taking temperatures at least 5 degrees below normal or more on some days. There should be at least 2 threats for snow in this pattern though how they play out is yet to be determined. But there will be cold air around for any storms to interact with. Specifics at this point are impossible to determine at this point. Dates to focus on seem to be around 12/29-30 and Jan 1-2.
