VICTORY ** VICTORY ** VICTORY ** VICTORY ** VICTORY ** VICTORY Canton Area Citizens for Environmental Issues have won their case against the mining company that wanted to strip mine in the Watershed of Canton Lake. The announcement was made this morning at the Donaldson Center. There is an article in the Democrat now and others will be in tonight or tomorrow, along with Channels 25 and 31 in attendance today. We had an outstanding Attorney, Dave Wentworth who found the holes in their case and just kept expanding those holes until they had nowhere to turn. We had great leadership from our Chairpersons, Ron and Brenda Dilts, and tremendous help from Joyce Blumenshine and Cindy Skrukrud, both from the Sierra Club and Brian Perbix from Prairie Rivers Group.
