VISION STATEMENT Promote equal access and fair distribution of our natural resources hence create long-term economical and socio-cultural benefits for both current and future generations of Po’otori, Aena Ura and Ausi tribal lands without any cultural or other forms of limitations MISSION STATEMENT Manage the environment, our natural and other resources through active partnership, proactive dialogue and participation in all forms with and amongst all stakeholders including the local communities, Non-Government Organizations (NGO), Provincial government, National Government, individuals and other donor partners in the most prudent, sustainable, equitable and transparent manner to achieve its vision statement BRIEF HISTORY Establishment Wai-Hau Conservation Foundation Inc. is virtually a rural community-based conservation organization formed from mutual consultation and agreement between local communities in 2008 from evident impacts of massive logging activities constantly polluting the environment and thus causing degradation to the environment, forests and vegetation, natural habitats and other natural resources within the surrounding communities and localities. It was then formally incorporated under the Charitable Act of Solomon Islands on July 2nd 2010. Location Wai-Hau Conservation Foundation Inc is located in ward 25(Tai Ward) of West Are’are constituency in Malaita Province. Wai-Hau is a connotation representing Wairaha and Hauhui villages - the two villages that are located at each end of the conservation area. Programs and daily operations are administered at Waisurione village located at the center of the conservation area.
