Very Large Floating Structures (VLFS) If and when the seas begin to rise to the point where whole islands or even nations are underwater: Kiribati, Maldives, Seychelles, Torres Straight Islands, Tegua, Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Carteret Islands, Tuvalu, and Bangladesh, not to mention 180 cities in the United States alone and major cities like Shanghai, London, Bangkok, Tokyo, etc. what are we going to do? Current events are like God’s call to Noah to build the Ark in the Bible. It’s highly likely that over the next 10-20 years scientists will begin to produce climate change models accurate enough to base policy decisions upon. While in some cases inundation by the sea may be decades off planners will begin to look for real solutions, including the use of floating cities as permanent living structures.
