Vice President of the New Democratic Party the Hon. Major St. Clair Leacock is very confident that the New Democratic Party will be in office following the 2015 general election. Speaking at the picket organised by the party, Major Leacock said they have struck a blow for justice, with yesterday’s march being a start of that journey that will usher the opposition party into government. He called on Vincentians to remind the government that St. Vincent and the Grenadines belong to Vincentians and not to the government. “You can’t be government, magistrate, judge and jury at the same time”, Leacock opined. He also pointed that it is most unfortunate that at a time when Vincentians are standing up for their rights and freedom Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves chose to be in Cuba in solidarity with the Cuban people instead of with Vincentians. He further pointed out that he has observed that for several months now the Prime Minister is running away from the issues confronting the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Major Leacock is calling on Vincentians to put an end to the injustices they are faced with. He reminded Vincentians that the NDP is ready to deliver a better St. Vincent and the Grenadines to Vincentians with the help of God.
