Vision Data Corp. today announced that Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. (CNHI) has purchased the Vision Data Total Advertising and Circulation Management systems for The Tribune Star (21,000 circulation daily), Terre Haute, IN.. The Tribune Star joins several other CNHI Indiana Dailies and Weeklies running Vision Data Total Advertising and Vision Circulation Management systems on a central regional server located at The Herald Bulletin in Anderson, IN, relying on Vision Data for reliable, cutting-edge newspaper management systems. The Tribune Star will add an additional 12 users to a new regional Sun Microsystems server, currently with a total of 65+ concurrent users in 10 publications having access to appropriate classified, display advertising and accounting functions built into the Vision Total Advertising System. The system also includes expanded contact management and sales functionality, plus web connectivity for the self-placement of classified ads. The system will also include a complete Vision Data Classified Pagination system. Vision Data will also be doing file conversions of all relevant account and contract information as well as complete transaction detail for the past two years. The included VisionWeb package features the Vision Web Home Order Entry system will greatly expand the newspaper’s new media presence and functionality by allowing both display and classified ads to be ordered on-line by individuals, businesses. The Vision Circulation Management system will provide the same robust functionality that CNHI has come to rely on in the majority of their newspapers. The installation will include complete conversion of pertinent subscriber and non-subscriber household and carrier data and on-site training by Vision Data. Vision Data Equipment Corp., Rensselaer, New York has been a business systems long-time partner of CNHI with a growing number of CNHI publications moving to Vision Data each year..
