Visited Rabat today...tea a la menthe, quick trip to the medina (market) to discover they dont open when it rains and close early on Fridays, drive-by sighting of 1,000-year-old Roman ruins, visited the Moroccan Bible Society and met the director (hes legally allowed to sell Bibles here), lunch at a Syrian restaurant, walked a maze of winding alleys with blue and white painted walls to an outdoor cafe with a view of the river and city and enjoyed a stout almost-Turkish coffee (black and chewy) and memorable almond cake-like cookies, capping the day off at an exclusive Casablanca mall with a giant fish tank - with sharks - a bit of shopping for the loved ones and would you believe three chicken strips from KFC? Photos to follow later. Feet currently unmovable. ConVerge Morocco 2014 is tomorrow!
