Volunteer of the Year Award Update We are a group of people who care about those less fortunate than ourselves, the homeless, the needy, those in DV Shelters and other refuges, the families living in cars or in someones garage, the small area hospitals and communities, and well, the list just goes on and on with more requests for help coming in every day. We are totally self funded {unless lucky enough to win something like this competition} and for the few monetary donations that we receive. Our members are so wonderfully generous but the simple fact is that a vast percentage of them are pensioners themselves which can, and does, severely limit how much they can help. So a win of this magnitude would make precious yarn and material available to those who would love to make more items for us but cant due to their own financial restraints.
