WADI WADI WEMBA WAMBA BARAPA BARAPA FIRST NATIONS ABORIGINAL CORPORATION ESTABLISHED ! WWB Chairs met at Holding Redlich our lawyers in Melbourne today. Great positive WWB meeting to action some of the thirty resolutions arising out of the WWB Full Claim Group meetings on 17 December 2013 and 29 March 2014 in Swan Hill. Preconditions (as accepted by the WWB in our last two meetings in Swan Hill) of the State were to resolve the internal boundaries and establish a joint settlement corporation will be finalised by Monday. The WWB Chairs acting for and on behalf of the Group have signed off on the joint corporation and the Registered Aboriginal Party application. All documents will be lodged with the State and ORIC next week before the next Directions Hearing in the Federal Court. So congratulations WWB the next step is back in the States court, presumably next is a WWB Threshold Statement and formal negotiations to settle the native title application lodged fourteen years ago. WWB next meets in Kerang followed by a bigger meeting in October.
