WARNING, WARNING (in the voice of the robot on Lost in Space) FB Food Warriors: Just heard a story (pull it up on i-net, please) about PACKAGED FISH PUMPED WITH CARBON MONOXIDE TO KEEP THAT MIDDLE STRIP AROUND THE SPINE PINK. CARBON MONOXIDE CAUSES THE RED BLOOD CELLS IN LIVING THINGS TO COME TO THE SURFACE. JUST IN CASE THE FISH HAS TURNED BROWN, THIS PREVENTS THE CONSUMER FROM KNOWING THE FISH IS NOT FRESH! This fish, I believe, comes from China...in and out of the room, so I only got snatches of the story. Look it up on Chanel 2 - WSBTV (Atlanta).
