WAS ADAM [PEACE BE UPON HIM] FORGIVEN BY TAKING THE WASEELAH OF MUHAMMAD [SALLALLAAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM]? There is absolutely no truth to this fabrication and myth that the repentance of Prophet Adam [as] was only accepted after he made the supplication using the waseelah of Prophet Mohamed [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam]! This false notion of Prophet Adam [as] using the waseelah of Prophet Mohammed [sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam] is absolutely against the guidance and teachings of the Quraan, where Allaah has clearly and exactly mentioned what Prophet Adam [as] prayed in his supplication in seeking forgiveness from the Merciful Lord. Allaah Says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 36-37: 36 Then did Satan make them slip from the [garden] and get them out of the state [of felicity] in which they had been. We said: Get ye down all [ye people] with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling place and your means of livelihood for a time. 37 Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration and his Lord turned toward him; for He is Oft-Returning Most Merciful. Allaah Says in the Quraan Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verses 22-23: 22 So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree their shame became manifest to them and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you? 23 They said: O our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: if Thou forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost. Thus, in light of the above clear Aayahs of the Glorious Quraan, it is absolutely clear that Prophet Adam [as] learnt the exact words of the supplication from Allaah, and the Merciful Lord accepted their repentance and forgave them.
