WEATHER From the WVLT Local 8 Weather Center: We can expect partly cloudy skies today with a 20% chance of storms and highs in the upper 80s. IN THE NEWS There are indications that as many as 3 people have been taken into custody and are being questioned after an early morning shooting that sent 2 people to hospitals. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Valley View Drive in North Knoxville. We havent been given information on the victims or their conditions. The LaFollette man suspected of causing the death of his girlfriends young daughter was taken into custody Wednesday. 33-year-old Joshua Adam Comer was found hiding in the basement of a home on Whitman Hollow Road. Earlier this week, he was charged with murder in the death of 3-year-old Gabriella Orton. The childs mother is charged with neglect. The death of a woman in Sevier County is described as suspicious and is under investigation. The womans fiancé called 911 on Tuesday to say he arrived at their home on Bream Court and found her dead. Investigators say they have not ruled out homicide. Investigators believe Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was on autopilot as it crossed the Indian Ocean and stayed on autopilot until it ran out of fuel. The head of Australias Transport Safety Bureau says investigators came to that conclusion after analyzing data between the plane and a satellite. A massive sinkhole that swallowed 8 cars at the National Corvette Museum has become such an attraction that officials have decided to preserve it and may even put some of the cars back inside the hole. The sinkhole at the museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, opened up in February and did extensive damage to the building and 8 Corvettes that toppled into the pit.
