WEBINAR • Find out what you’re passionate about – take advantage of the liberal arts education and take different courses • You know you best – reach out if things aren’t going the way you like, there are psychologists on campus and many other resources you can use • Manage your time – for every one hour in the classroom you should study three hours, prepare to class, treat studying as a full-time job • Stay healthy – feed your brain, stress relief, sleep, there’s a free yoga class everyday on campus • Go to class – don’t fall behind, read before class, talk to your professor, there’s a 6 hours of mandatory open office, let them know if you’re going to miss a class • Smell the roses – get involved, join a club, catch a game, say hi… a lot! • Join the community – go to Dewies, orientation week • We will find out our room assignment in mid-July • Register online for Fall semester class in early August • There will be a English Writing Proficiency exam on September 1st – it does not count towards the grade • To declare a major or a minor meet with your advisor – you don’t have to declare it on your first years so do not panic! • The entire campus has wi-fi • In order to learn French people can join the French club. If you take a French course, you only have to pay the Québec tuition fee for that class • To start a new club talk to the Student Government • There is a BEER 101 class • Lennoxville is only a two-minute walk from campus • People should bring a fan, a travel bag, converter plugs (for international and exchange students), a bath robe, music speaker, headphones, UBS, bathing suit, floating tube (if you have one), clothes for all seasons (+20°C) • All textbooks are available at the library, wait until your first class to buy them • Orientation Week starts on August 31rd (corrected). International and exchange students must sing up for it but its super easy. All other students are automatically signed up for it.
