WHAT IF THERE WAS NO HEAVEN OR HELL After all their evangelism, - TopicsExpress

WHAT IF THERE WAS NO HEAVEN OR HELL After all their evangelism, their crusades, their judging people, their feeling superior, their joy of meeting the King, their heaven was not real! Have you ever thought like this before? Oh and if you will be hurt or not if you are Christian will be a reflection of your life and your commitment level all the while but don’t worry I’m not going to judge you. Lol ok keep calm I’ve not even began my point. That was too dramatic- much as a believer, I know for sure that this will never be a reality it stimulates my desire to consider my devotion to God. Let me create the real scenario that I want us to ponder- the lead to my main point. Let’s say that unlike the previous scenario where it was a realization now it is a preamble i.e. you’re aware of no promised heaven or hell. Will Christianity be worth it? Will we be willing to let go of the world and it’s pleasure to be ‘holy’ and bother to teach people about the message of the cross( pls note the only change in the story is that we won’t go to heaven but all else still holds), be kind and bother to exhibit Christian values, seek spiritual gifts and walk in the fruits of the Spirit? Hold up! Lol I can already feel the ‘oh naas’ or are there any Hebrew-boys kind of God lovers who are just motivated by the joy of knowing and obeying Him for no pay! Logically, it seems not worth it. My sister says this ‘Even if I didn’t know God, there are some things I wouldn’t do like smoking, drinking, clubbing etc… So of course there are some habits which may be sinful that our person would not do even if it was allowed. However would we bother to go the extra mile for a God we haven’t seen physically? Do I hear a no or a yes? I will be really impressed with those who will still say yes but I won’t blame those who say no! WHY? For me, there would be no point at all living if it is for no worth. Shirley Caesar said something on the footnotes to leading Kirk Franklin’s ‘Caught up’ that ‘I can live in hell(referring to earth) and then die and go to hell!’ I don’t know whether it’s the singing that follows or my love for Ms. Shirley or something but my spirit just said YES!(in black church style) to that saying! I think that life is worth living, because there is hope in the after-life and If life is worth living, then it is worth living right! I say this because then it would be better to not be born to live and go through all life’s experiences- whether good or bad! If death was truly a state of peace as they usually bid deceased people then why would we live? Much more live right. There certainly had to be a compensation for people who came, saw and conquered only that this time the God who created the earth has put his own twist to it! You can only qualify for that reward of the after-life if you’ve lived right! His word says there are only two sides- good or bad, no gradations! Simply, you can’t be too saved or too lost. You’re either saved or lost! The world has created a system of looking at the grey areas and finding the nexus between two extremes so that they can make sane arguments. I think I even employed a worldly philosophy in this writing and I agree that there are some grey areas like tattoes, men wearing earrings, clothing, drinking, etc but there is no running away from the fundamental question are you ready for the your reward when the inevitable happens? Let’s think outside the box and say that you probably have nothing to lose if you die and realize it is truly an everlasting sleep!lol However no one, even the rich man in Lazarus’ time, can help themselves if they realize that it was true! All along the Christians, pastors, their consciences, that gut feeling was right! That God is as real as heaven and hell! The reason hell must really suck is that you heard the truth and did not believe- just think about how you feel when you saw that page but didn’t read it and the exam questions came from there and you knew you were getting an F! I’ve been there before! Chale! I wish I had more to say but in a nut shell, there is no other way possible to say this: GOD IS REAL! HEAVEN AND HELL IS REAL! GO ON AND CHOOSE! I speak as a man who has sinned before and has been in danger of hell fire that you can change the course of your life and gradually (not dramatically) align yourself to God! Once we have life, God has all the time to see us gradually rise through Him. This is the time to listen to the little whisper in your heart that calls you to do right! At some point you should get bored and do what’s right! So, are you still thinking what if there is no heaven or hell?
