~WHEN WILL YOU CEASE TO REBEL~ When you cease to rebel in your mind, you will cease to sin outwardly. By the walk of Christ in human flesh and yet without sin, He CONDEMNED sin in ALL flesh and made a way (New and Living Way) whereby NO flesh had to CONTINUE in union with sin. (Rom. 6:1-23; 8:1-13; 2Cor.5:17-18; 10:4-6; Gal.5:16-26). Those who set their affections on the sins of the FLESH (Gal.5:19-21; 1Cor.6:9-11; Col.3:5-10) will NATURALLY fulfill them (Jas.1:13-15). Those who set their affections on the things of the SPIRIT (Gal.5:21-22; 1Cor.12:4-11; Col.3:12-14) will NATURALLY fulfill them and such will NOT commit themselves as a channel for sin. Rom. 6:1-2 states: What shall we say then? Shall we CONTINUE in sin, so that grace may abound or increase in our lives? God forbid. How shall we who are DEAD to sin, live any longer therein? Death to sin and Resurrection FROM sin means walking (proceeding forward in a harmonious relationship with God) like Christ.(Rom.6:5; 1Pet.2:21-22; 1Jn.2:6; 4:6, 17). The old man is crucified and dead, the body of sin is destroyed so that henceforth we should not sin.(Rom.6:6) We are FREED from sin (6:7,18,22). Faith counts sin DEAD (6:8). When you cease to rebel in your mind, (Let this mind BE in you which was also in Christ Jesus) you will cease to sin. As long as the mind live in rebellion it can NOT please God (v.7-8). The bottom line is found in Rom. 11:19-23; You will say then, the branches (Jews) were broken off, so that I (Gentiles) might be grafted in. Well; because of unbelief (rebellion, disobedience or sin) they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high minded, but fear; because if God spared not the natural branches, TAKE HEED lest He also spare not you. Behold therefore, the GOODNESS (and) SEVERITY of God: on them who fell, SEVERITY; but toward you, GOODNESS, (IF); you CONTINUE in His GOODNESS: (otherwise) YOU (also) shall be cut off.
