WHO GOES HUNGRY???? This holiday season, join FRAC in asking Congress, “Who goes hungry?” The stakes for SNAP are high. Congress left for the Thanksgiving recess without reaching agreement on a Farm Bill, and negotiations are likely to extend into December. Separately, Budget Conferees continue to negotiate a budget package that could have implications for SNAP - and that’s on top of the November 1st cut which led to every SNAP recipient experiencing a loss in already meager benefits. The truth is that the only significant effect of any SNAP cut will be less food and more hunger for millions of low-income seniors, veterans, working families with children and people with disabilities. If politicians are willing to “compromise” on more cuts to SNAP, who exactly are they willing to say should go hungry?
