WHY I LOVE WORKING HERE. On New Years Eve I came to work with the idea it was going to be short, fun day. We had had a great year and were looking forward to 2015 being just as successful. About 11:30 I heard some stranges noises, then the tech interrupted me to inform me that there was a problem. When I went into the hallway water was pouring from the cieling. This was going on throughout the office. It seems that a pipe burst in the vacant office above ours. Water was pouring everywhere, however the whole staff responded quickly. We called for help and went into saving equipment. We did reach a point where there was nothing to do but watch the flood and hope the damage did not get worst. My short fun day turned into a long frustrating day. I spent four hours standing in ankle high water trying to make something go right. The next few days were amazing to watch as the whole staff worked hard to clean up and put order to the office. There were times when we couldnt clean up, so staff took it among themselves to get orders taken care of grinding lenses, ordering contacts, and checking equipment. I heard an awful lot of how can I help, whats our next step and so. The dedication that the staff exhibted was exceptional. Their desire to re-open the office was beyond expectations. In three days we were open, with a glitch or two. In stepping back and looking at all that happened I realized that our office desires to be synergistic. That we all want our patients to get the best care possible and to feel special. Come on by see the office try to find the signs of the flood, but most important see what a great group of people Dr. Nunn has put together to provide the best eye care.
