WHY WE BELIEVE IN MUTCHU MITHIS LEADERSHIP? We have all reasons to believe that Mutchu Mithi will be able to prove himself as better leader than Laeta Umbrey. The foremost reason is he listens. So jokingly people say – Mutchu has thousands of advisors! That is the proof of his ability to listen to all. It is this ability of him that despite having made less public appearances, Mutchu is able to have trustworthy relationship with the masses. Also he has the support of the young educated generation. The new generation is highly motivated and has the zeal to contribute for the society. We are hopeful that this educated generation will be able to guide Mutchu in better way and make him respond to people’s grievances in best possible way. Also Mutchu understands the nuances of human character and is better equipped to respond to the feelings and sentiments of the people. So we believe that Mutchu’s leadership will be sensitive and will have respect for all irrespective of class and creed. We had seen the leadership of the past – Mukut Mithi and Laeta Umbrey. Their leadership has been a ‘one man’s affairs’. But Mutchu’s leadership is participative, and it takes along the views and opinions of all. It is this sense of participation that gives the common man the feeling of being empowered. Politics involves dirty game like revenge and payback, all in the name of winning an election or consolidating political power. And past politicians in Roing are no stranger to such game. We believe Mutchu’s leadership will be different - merciful and compassionate. This is reflected from his personal character of being harmless and tolerant. He is not easily provoked and maintains calm and will not react violently to any expression of disapproval of him. So if Mutchu wins, opposition members have no reason to feel insecure. He will let an atmosphere to prevail where everyone irrespective of ones political affiliation will have equal opportunity to grow. Mutchu’s personal character of being harmless is expressed in his open-minded nature. He expresses no sign of being cunning, deceptive and duplicitous. Anyone can read him and understand him straight. There are speculations and mistrust about him, but once a person gets to know him personally then they start to respect him. Politics appears corrupt and dirty since there is lack of idealism and people are motivated by self-interest. And there is no one who can make them believe in good cause. So it is the responsibility of all supporters to encourage their leaders in right spirit, and be motivated in right spirit. We encourage good people to take part in politics and show people the right way. In Mutchu Mithi, we see a keen learner, openness, does not intimidate people by his intellect prowess, understands his weakness and is simple hearted.
