WOW! A big huge HELLO to all of the new followers! 337 of yall joined us this week! Thank you Team Amber and Little Miracles for sharing the page! Please take a minute to read the About section to find out about Gavin. Briefly, we are a family of 6! My husband and I thought we wouldnt be able to have kids and with the help of fertility treatments, we now have 2 sets of twins! The boys are 8 (turning 9 on the 25th) and the girls are 3. Gavin received had 2 long surgeries and continued follow-ups in New Orleans for a year and then was referred to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital last year where he went through proton beam radiation. We are at the follow-up stage now. At our last visit in April, we were told that his tumor is starting to shrink, PRAISE GOD! Our other son, Nolan, has been diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety, and our girls, Madelyn and Katelyn have sensory issues and speech therapy. We are a very busy household, but wouldnt trade it for the world! Although the brain tumor is a major part of our lives, that has not been the most tragic event in our lives. This past September, we lost Gavins grandmother (Melissas mom) very unexpectedly to a heart attack. It is still the hardest thing we have and are still going through, so continued prayers for our family is very much appreciated. I would also like to tell you all that Gavin and Nolan had decided that for their birthday (which is July 25th), they would raise money for St. Judes to help save lives! Instead of birthday gifts, they have been asking for donations. We started a gofundme page and they had exceeded their original goal of $500 in the first week! They are now at $920, hoping to make $1000 Gavin, Nolan, mom, and paw paw are going up to St. Judes next week and on the 22nd, Nolan and Gavin are going to present St. Jude with their donations! If any one of you would like to donate, you can check out their page at gofundme/stjudesavers MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! Please continue to pray for complete healing for Gavin. He is such an amazing little boy that everyone falls in love with when they meet him. We are very blessed that he is doing so well right now and we pray that it continues to keep getting better!
