Besides a nice set of head-spears, that 200+ pound elk also came endowed with a pair of hooves, which are equally nice instruments for slashing and pounding. The fellow got lucky not to have had his skull laid open. [Heck, Im even watchful of deer in the wild, especially if fawns might be around. Ditto for feral hogs, too. Warren pointed out a TV program a few years ago in which a big turkey gobbler nearly killed a fellow !! Snakes (?): No problem -- See more in the flower beds, than in the wild.] Cool customer ?
