WRITTEN CHRISTMAS EVE 2008 Dear my beautiful Brodie, Brods - TopicsExpress

WRITTEN CHRISTMAS EVE 2008 Dear my beautiful Brodie, Brods tomorrow is Christmas day, It is a day when we spend time with our family and friends and eat lots of food and have a good time, we also get presents from mum and from friends and of course from Santa! I understand this day can be a problem for you, my baby and this year I will try to help make it less stressful on you. Last year mum stayed up till 3:00am wrapping and organising for Christmas, I filled a pool full of balls and balloons for you, so you could see it was a special, different day, but mum was tired and you woke up early and were not happy with the changes that had occurred in your house. You didn’t want to open any presents and you screamed for most of the morning. Mum tried to make you happy and get you interested in Christmas, because it is really difficult on your brother Harley when you scream on what for him is a happy day. Mum wants to see Harley open his presents and see the excitement on his face, but at the same time I want you to be happy too. You opened some of your presents, but because you refused to get dressed mum only had a few photos that I couldn’t share with everyone else. I love to show you off Brods, cause you are so beautiful, so I only want you to be dressed so I can take photos to show everyone how beautiful you are. Then you were so worn out from screaming you fell asleep, in the ball pit mum had made for you. You never, ever fall asleep in the day and so this was very unusual and made mum quite worried. While you were sleeping we tried to load Harley’s new game on his computer, it wouldn’t load on his computer or on mum’s. This was very sad as this was the one present Harley really wanted. When it was getting late and we were late to go to Nan’s house I woke you up and put you in the car. You were still so sleepy and just wanted to stay wrapped up in a blanket, sleeping during the day had really thrown you out and you were out of sorts for the rest of the day. The family opened presents from under Nan’s tree and you sat outside on your swing, naked again. Mum kept running out to see you and then running back so as to not miss Harley opening a present. Occasionally I brought you a present to open, you did open them, but again mum didn’t get photos because you were wearing no clothes. You cheered up and enjoyed some turkey and a swim in Nan’s pool. I love it that you have so much fun in Nan’s pool; I love to watch you swim; you are such a good swimmer and usually so happy in the water. Well Brods now it is Christmas again and mum wonders what is in store tomorrow? There may be some changes to the house in the morning, but you will get used to them baby I promise. You will have lots and lots of presents to open, but you can have your chicken pancake and honey first if you want too and mum and Santa won’t wrap them all so some of them you will be able to see straight away. Mum won’t stay up too late, all the wrapping is organised this year, so mum will not be too tired if you wake up early. This Christmas morning it will just be you, me and Harley. We are only a little family Brods, so we have to take care of each other and mum has to watch both her beautiful boys. This Christmas Brod’s when we go to Nan’s house uncle Mark and Auntie Li-Ann will be there too and there will be more presents to open. You can sit on your swing if you like, we might even bring all the presents out to you, or you can have a swim before you open the presents. I am sure you would like that. My Brod Brod, I am sure you will get lots of wonderful presents and although you might not understand them at first or like them to begin with, I am sure that you will enjoy them all. Last year you were not sure about your DVD player, but now it comes lots of places with us and Thomas can come too, it was also so much fun when we were on holidays. Dear Brodie tomorrow is Christmas, and you can do whatever you want to do! All that mum asks is that you are happy and all I want is for you to enjoy Christmas, like other boys and girls all over the world. I love you so much Brodie, I love Harley so much too and tomorrow on Christmas morning, you me and Harley will have a wonderful time, I know! Dearest Brodie tomorrow is Christmas, Merry Christmas Brodie with much love always Mum xxxx
