WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFFS REPORT Stolen handgun found during traffic stop in the Village of Warsaw Two Pennsylvania men are facing charges after a traffic stop on East Buffalo street in the Village of Warsaw August 9, 2014. Julio Lopez-Colon, 35, of Bethlehem PA, was stopped by police for speeding (60/30) on the east hill in Warsaw. Following an investigation and search of the vehicle, Lopez-Colon was found to be in possession of a loaded .38 caliber handgun without a permit. The passenger in the vehicle, Joe Cruz-Diaz, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and released on an appearance ticket. Lopez-Colon was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony, and arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court. He was then jailed in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or bond. After turning Lopez -Colon over to the jail, it was discovered that the handgun was confirmed stolen out of Allentown, PA. Lopez- Colon was arrested again and charged with criminal possession of stolen property 4th, a class E felony. He was arraigned on the new charge and jailed on an additional $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Lopez -Colon will re-appear in Village of Warsaw Court on September 15th at 5:00 p.m. Deputies responded to a reported dog complaint in Rt.19 in the Town of Gainesville August 11, 2014. After speaking with the complainant, it was discovered that the complainant and 46 year old James Craft, his neighbor, had been arguing over dogs crossing onto each others property. The complainant reported that Craft jumped onto his backhoe and started choking him. Craft was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and arraigned in Gainesville Town Court. He was held on $750.00 bail/$2500 bond. Craft will appear in Gainesville Town Court at a later date to answer the charge. Andrew J. Roberts, 21, of Rt. 39, Town of Pike, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after the investigation of suspicious activity at the Wyoming County Fair August 10, 2014 in Pike. While on foot patrol, deputies noticed suspicious males walking in the main parking lot area. After a brief investigation Roberts was found with Clonazepam and marijuana. Roberts was released to a family member and will appear in the Town of Pike Court September 9, 2014 to answer the charges. Sebastion G. Schubert, 43, of Stroudsburg, PA, is charged with operating a vehicle on a restricted road for over length vehicles and no log book after a traffic stop on Wethersfield road in the Town of Java August 5, 2014. Deputies observed Schubert operating a tractor trailer that was over the maximum allowance for a non-qualifying road. Schubert also did not complete his log book for two days. Schubert will answer the charges on August 27th at 7:30p.m. in the Town of Java Court.
