****Warning Rant to Ensue**** Im exhausted. Not because we ran our butts off this week, but because there seems to be no recourse for bad planning. Our driver leader, planned a load for us leaving out on Sunday. Good load, made up for the 34 hour restart we desperately needed to take. Were trying desperately to plan ahead for the inevitable slow week after Christmas. This morning, an Atlanta planner came in and removed this order from us. Not because we couldnt make on time pickup, not because we couldnt make on time delivery, but because it is HER planning area, and she will plan as she sees fit. Rather than to be glad a part of the Swift team is covering a load for a hyper focus client, she removed the order out of retribution. This isnt the first time in 8 years Ive had this happen in the Atlanta area. Nor is this the first time this particular planner has done this to me or people I know. We are held accountable. Everyday for every load. If we make a misstep we are counselled, etcerera, until the problem is resolved. I get tired of seeing someone who has been with the company for so many years, do as they like, treat people as they choose, and never once be held accountable for their actions. A couple years ago I thought for SURE this would change with a great leadership change in that terminal. Yet, still today, there is no applicable, reasonable, or clear cut way to get this kind of problem resolved. Where is the accountability?! ****End of rant****
