Was Christopher L. Fillie or anyone there to represent his idea of transitioning to a member centered, volunteer based Co-op? This is what a true co-op is. Im reading about Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn and looking at their price list. Imagine paying $2.07 for kale in Brooklyn! Or $2.87/lb for Meyer Lemons. I mean how much were they when we had them, I remember them being out of reach for me even with my employee discount. I hope this option is being seriously considered bc I think it offers the solution that would bring ethically grown food to its most affordable level.
