Was going through my Grandmothers Trunk today, She passed away in - TopicsExpress

Was going through my Grandmothers Trunk today, She passed away in January of 1984 and low and behold she still had a photo of my first ride as a paid EMT tucked neatly away in it. I am on the ambulance to the left in the photo. It is the US Coast Guards Motor Life Boat 44379, later My Boat as a Machinery Technician (MK) in charge of maintaining it mechanically. The photo was taken by MK1 Calvin Willard from the lookout tower on the north side of the Tillamook Bay, Oregon Bar in July of 1979. Trust me, having been born and raised in Central Nebraska, my first rescue call scared the Living Shit out of me. Those were the days. By the way the boat to the right is the Motor Life Boat 256000, the one and only 25 foot aluminum hulled Motor Life Boat ever built.
