Was just wondering if we could look at some (in fact there are quite a few) movies which were out and out musicals (some intended to be and some not so) in which all songs that were composed were masterpieces. Well, one song might be better than the other but what fascinates me here is the approach the music composer took in executing his craft after he may have understood the plot, the mood of the sequence and how the story could be helped to move forward. Truly praiseworthy are some of the creations. I hope and am pretty sure many members here can each come up with their contribution of such movies where each song is a gem if not a masterpiece ! Some movies which easily come to mind are : Bandini, Baiju Bawra, Chalti ka naam Gaadi, Humraaz, Guide, Chaliya, Amar Prem, Abhimaan, Aaradhana, Mother India, Caravan, Jewel Thief, Parichay, Mera Naam Joker, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Sangam, Anari......I can rattle out plenty more but that is not the intention. The idea is to play all songs of each of these movies at one stretch, ideally by the person who takes up a movie. Any takers ?
