Watching the Holocaust documentary on C4+1, and its the most chilling thing Ive ever seen. Unreleased footage of Auschwitz came on and I couldnt believe that Ive actually been there and walked the roads that those people walked on. Saw the chambers as well as the crematorium ovens that carried out mass extermination. Saw shacks that held starving men and women. Saw cattle cars that people suffered in for days. Saw hair (some still in full plaits) that had been shaven off, suitcases, shaving brushes, shoes, glasses, gold teeth, blood stained clothes. Saw sunken pits in the ground where bodies and ashes were buried. Absolutely chilling seeing the stuff I saw in person being broadcast on the TV. There is literally no words to explain Auschwitz, its just pure and sheer horror, seeing the barbed wired gates for the first time, absolutely stomach churning. R.I.P to the 11 million who died in the Holocaust, youll be forever remembered.
